Formed in 2007 in Dublin, Ireland, Syphor has gained popularity among Metalheads throughout the world for the metal styles they play: Trash, Black, and Deathmetal. Playing Thrashmetal Riffs and performing on stage in several European Festivals have encouraged ‘Syphor’ to release their debut album, ‘Stained Glass Blasphemy,’ on February 2011. The musical quality in this new album is somewhat similar to their debut album with a lot of thrashy riffs. In ‘For What Remains,’ the band’s musicality is more mature, unique, and elaborate. You can find melodious and harmonic riffs in this album alongside common trash riffs. Many Metalheads assume the music they play is Trash Death, and as true as it may seem, the most important point is the band’s ability to combine classical and modern trash riffs with deathmetal groove or rhythm. With melody combinations played harmonically and melodiously, Syphor’s music tends to sound more complex and pleasant to the ears of those listeners seeking for quality of an artwork or creativity.

lyrics
Rotting dead and cold
never raised to divine
mordant souls behold,
no light in the afterlife,
Granted audience to the highest
order rate the crimes of Satan, the nefarious one,
we stand dead between these worlds,
Your souls fire fades, encompassed
by the night,
bow for forgiveness draped in deep regret,
But we will face whatever comes our way,
your Satan, god or any other one,
we stand between these worlds,
to bathe in the blackness,
Your souls fire fades, encompassed
by the night,
bow for forgiveness draped in deep regret,
For all the ignorance that we cast upon the earth
for all the suffering born, to this life
just to be thrust to their graves,
To the pits commit the corpses,
to halt their disease
As few as all their sins have been
all they've ever known,
indiscretions secrets left untold,
behind the saviors cross they hide
marking the map for the genocide
As your souls fire fades, encompassed
by the night,
bow for forgiveness draped in deep regret,
For all the ignorance that we cast upon the earth,
for all the suffering born to this life
just to be thrust to their graves,
But we will face whatever comes our way,
You’re Satan, god or any other one,
we stand between these worlds,
to savor the madness.

The band's debut is full of whiskey-burned growls and maniacal high shrieks, not surprising for a group of Detroit metal vets. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 22, 2016
